Career Testing
Career Testing is done upon admission in the first semester, and is aimed at
helping you to discover your true career calling. It also helps you to evaluate
your career interests and the value you place on your chosen field. It is
administered to all freshmen during the New Students’ Meeting and before
students register for class. Please contact the department for information on
test dates and times.
Career Planning Checklist
While you are in college, you are acquiring the skills and experiences that will
form an important part of the foundation for your future career(s). A career
planning checklist is integral in guiding you on your path to success. It is our
duty to guide you through this checklist during your four years at NCU. It
covers all the requirements necessary for you to plan your career path for
success.
Please see the link for career test dates or contact the Career & Employment
Services Department.

schedule
of career related workshops.
Career and Employment Fairs
Career and Employment Fairs are held once per year for prospective graduates,
juniors, and recent graduates who are seeking jobs. Selected companies are
usually invited to showcase, demonstrate and feature job opportunities as well
as products and services to a wide audience. This is a good way for companies to
meet NCU students and for students to engage in preliminary interviews and
acquire information about companies. Students are required to dress in business
attire for these events. The next career fair will be February 9, 2010.
Internships/Job Placement
An internship is the first step towards getting employed. It provides academic
orientation and training in an actual work environment. Our job is to work in
collaboration with your department to assist you in finding internship and job
placements. We do this by sourcing potential employers in your area of interest
or emphasis, guiding you with the writing of your résumé and arranging, where
necessary, the internship schedule for you. At NCU, each student is encouraged
to complete a specified number of hours of unpaid internship depending on the
department (for some departments it is not mandatory) before actual graduation.
Internships are usually done during the summer sessions. However, this is not
allowed during the second summer session of the year in which you will graduate
